My good friend and spiritual gangster, Luke, sent me a video last night that truly touched me. It speaks about life – the fact that most of us view life as a journey – always with an end point. We go to school to graduate, we get a job to make the big bucks. Then what do we do with all that we’ve gained? Well, often times, we get too old to even enjoy the “wealth” we’ve accumulated as a result of the grueling “journeys” we placed ourselves on.
What happens to the music the whole way through? We often close our ears or simply fail to hear it because we’re so deeply focused on our end goal. We forget to embrace the ride; to open our eyes to the miracles that surround us, to relish in the moments of pure love and utter joy we experience. This video reminded me of this. What’s the point of reaching the “goal” if we don’t enjoy the magnificent moments throughout?
I hope this video brings you as much excitement about basking in the music of life as it did me.
