This bit of wisdom comes from my life coach, Carl Massy. It struck a cord when I read it because I commonly think, you can do things to make yourself get what you want in your life. While this is certainly true — there are definitely things you can do in your life to increase the chance you will get what you want — but, if you are not truly expecting what you want to happen, it wont.
The reason behind this, Carl writes is, “the thing you expect to happen is the picture most likely playing on a loop recording in your mind; which is then sending a powerful message to your subconscious mind. So you need to expect to achieve the goal you want. Know that it is possible and probable you will achieve it — and build up to a sense of absolute certainty you will achieve it.
We think our guide and exercise to Getting What You Want will help you expect what you want to happen in addition to just knowing that you want it to happen. We suggest you read the guide and perform the exercise. Go back to what you’ve included you want and look at the images you’ve chose to represent what you want and really try and feel how you’ll feel when you get what you want. Do this as often as you can. The goal here is to convince your subconscious mind that you already have what you want. Once you do this and fully expect what you want to happen, the universe will start to bring into your life what you desire.
